Default Vendor NPC [combined market ideas]

This nothing new really. Most of it been suggested before by other people or implemented in other online games. So Im just trying to summarize it all in a dedicated thread.

Major features:

- a single NPC that replaces all other "traders" except merchant, armor and weapon crafters.
- player can "deposit" item into vendor's list and set the price on it.
- Vendor will charge either fixed price or "tax" based on player set price
- other player can view list of "deposited" items and search them by name/price range/item category.
- other player can buy item, which will transfer its price (minus Vendor's expenses) straight into first player's storage.

Optional features:
- warning when you buying too high or selling too low based on market average
- sell orders by NPC (to replace existing traders)
- limit amount of sell orders per account to 5-10 to prevent abuse of system as extra storage space.
- buy orders, which will work the same way as sell orders.
- items that hasnt been sold in say two weeks would be removed from Vendor's list. Player can pick them up and try to sell again at different price or to the merchant.
- sell bundles rather than individual items. Say I want to sell 105 shards and ectos in one package at higher price

Pros:
- unified market. No need to keep zoning between droks/LA/Warcamp/ToA and various districts to sell your item.
- no more WTS spam in local.
- no precious gameplay moments wasted on trying to sell stuff.

Cons:
- ?

The fees that the NPC would charge should cover the efforts that the player would otherwise have to spend selling it him/herself.

Question: with the coming of Auction houses, how is this idea going to make itself more distinct from that?

Idealy? - replace them.
There is no need for auction unless you selling something extremely expensive. It only overcomplicates trading and does not address issues that currently exist.
Why? Because when I want to buy item, I just want to go to NPC and buy it (given he has it in stock) and go back to playing, period. No bidding, no hasssle, straight to the point.
